The setup
Wispr Flow is a dictation app: you talk, it writes clean text in whatever app you're in. The company started out building hardware and launched Flow as software in 2024.
Within a year of finding product-market fit, revenue grew 150× and the team grew 7×, per CEO Tanay Kothari. In August 2026 Wispr raised a $280M Series B at a $2B valuation, and Fortune reported revenue up more than 150% in each of the four quarters before it.
What they post
Kothari posts growth data and product decisions on X and LinkedIn close to when they happen: user counts, revenue milestones, what the team changed and why. Early on, the founders onboarded hundreds of users one by one on video calls, and those users became the ones who talked about it.
The posts work as a product demo. A founder explaining that users dictate 19% of their work in their first month and 78% by month five makes every reader wonder whether they should too, and the replies fill with people asking.
Consumers in, businesses out
The audience for those posts is individual: an engineer, a sales rep, a founder. They install it, use it every day and bring it to work. Fortune reports Wispr Flow is now used by millions of consumers and 100,000 businesses.
That is the path employee-led marketing opens for any product. A person reads a post from a person, tries the product and becomes the internal champion who gets their company to buy.
What happens in the replies
Under a founder's growth post, the replies are people self-qualifying in public: does it work with my tools, is there a team plan, who do I pay. Each reply is a lead that arrived already convinced, and every answer the founder gives is seen by everyone else reading the thread.
What to copy
- 1
Share the real numbers
Growth figures and honest lessons get read and reshared. Vague announcements don't.
- 2
Post close to the moment
A milestone posted the week it happens reads as momentum. The same news a month later reads as a press release.
- 3
Answer every reply
A reply is someone asking to buy. Answering in public sells to everyone else reading the thread.
- 4
Let the product spread person to person
Individuals who love it bring it to work. Posts from people are how those individuals find it.
